Personnel
THL compiles statistics on the basis of the Central Register of
Health Care Professionals maintained by the
National Supervisory Authority
for Welfare and Health (Valvira). All persons with a permission
to practice a health care profession in Finland are recorded in the
register. The statistics drawn up by THL mainly describe the active
and inactive working-age labour force. The statistics contain no
information on the employment status/absence from work of health
care professionals.
The National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira)
publishes lists of health care professional by occupational
group.
Statistics
Finland gathers data on the labour market participation of
social and health care personnel on a yearly basis. On the basis of
these data, the THL Information division publishes statistics on
social and health care personnel. |
