Health services
The Health Services pages release comprehensive statistical
information on the health-care sector in Finland. The information
concerns service use in both the municipal and the private sector,
as well as service costs and personnel. The pages also provide a
link to Cause of Death Statistics, maintained by Statistics
Finland.
The Outpatient Health Services pages mainly focus on information
on outpatient primary health-care services in health centres,
broken down into oral health care and general health care. However,
the pages also provide information on outpatient-clinic activities
in specialised health care, including day surgery.
The collection of data on inpatient health services takes place
by care period and visit through the care reporting process.
Statistics on private health services are based on the annual
reports that private service providers submit to State Provincial
Offices.
