Alcohol and drugs

National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) collects information on the experimentation and use of alcoholic beverages, drugs and psychoactive pharmaceuticals, social and health harm caused by alcohol and drugs, specialised services for substance abusers, and the costs of alcohol- and drug-related harm. The alcohol statistics also contain information on the availability and trade of alcoholic beverages, the alcohol economy, and the prices of alcoholic beverages.

National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) also comprises the Finnish National Focal Point of the Reitox drug information network operating under the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA).
