RSS feeds

RSS feeds allow you to view new pages of interest from the STAKES website without actually visiting the site itself.

What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. It is an XML-based format that enables the sharing of online content. If a website provides information in RSS format, the user can check updated information using software called 'RSS reader' without needing to visit the website. To be able to receive information, the user needs to subscribe to it as an RSS feed.

How to use RSS feeds?

An RSS feed can be read using a special RSS reader. Most Internet browsers and some e-mail programs include an RSS reader, so it need not be downloaded separately. The latest Mozilla Firefox browsers, for example, include an RSS reader. For further information, visit the Mozilla website.
