Information and library services

Information Services primarily offers information retrieval and delivery services to THL staff for research and development purposes.

Borrowing and guidance

Materials can be used on the library premises and borrowed free of charge.
Borrowing rules

In order to borrow materials from the library, you must be registered as a customer.
File description of the customer register

When the library is closed, borrowed materials can be returned to the reception desk in the THL Lintulahti entrance hall during office hours, or by mail.

Renewal of loans

The loan period is 28 days, except for THL's new publications in high demand, which can be borrowed for 14 days.

A loan can be renewed by visiting the library, by phone or by e-mail if the item has not been reserved by another person. Loans can be renewed up to six (6) times successively. After that they need to be returned to the library.

Reservations

Customers not employed by THL can only reserve materials published by THL (former STAKES). Reservations can be made by visiting the library or by phone or e-mail.

Inter-library loans

Borrowable materials and copies can be obtained through the inter-library loan service by phone. The material is sent to the other library or directly to the borrower. A fee is charged on inter-library loans and copies.
