4. Purpose of the processing of personal data (purpose of the register)

The purpose of the register is to manage customer relations for THL Information Services.

5. Data content of the register

Borrower information: name and address, phone number, e-mail and date of birth. Information Services also specifies a statistical category for each borrower (e.g. educational establishment).

6. Regular data sources of the register*

Information is collected using a registration form signed by the borrower.

7. Regular destinations of disclosed data and transfer of data outside the EU or the European Economic Area

Only customers' own borrower data are disclosed for the purpose of checking accuracy. Identification from the borrower is required before disclosing data.

8. Principles concerning the protection of the register files

A. Manual materials

The registration forms signed by customers are kept in a locked cabinet.

B. Data stored in the data systems

The register data is protected by passwords. Only certain named employees of THL are able to process the data.

* Section 10 of the Personal Data Act does not specifically require that this type of information should be given. However, the information is important for the data subjects' right of access to data. It also describes the data content of the register.
