STAKES monitors welfare trends among older people and the implementation of policies on ageing. We also develop the quality and effectiveness of services for older people and promote the introduction of technology. Our aim is to promote independent living through research and development and to develop information systems to support service evaluation. In addition, we maintain statistics in the topic area.
